Catching up with life.

    Lately I have just felt slow, and tired. I don't feel my up lifting, energetic self and I'm not really sure why. I just feel like sleeping or laying down all day. I can't really find a reason for why I feel like this, but I really hope that it ends soon. I would love to get my old energy back so I can start running again. I'm hoping it's just the snow and cold weather making me like this. I don't feel like I'm getting sick, but I never really know. All I hope for now is that I get to my old self, and stop being so down.

Schools Hate Creativity!

    After hearing Ken's speech about how schools are killing creativity I was inspired. I wanted to go out and make schools have creative classes. But then I remembered that I go to the Open School and we have more creative classes than most of Jeffco's schools put together. But I still didn't think its fare that schools around our country are cutting art classes out so that they can teach more math. We all understand that we need math, but in my opinion art is just as important. We need art and music to get through life as well. How boring do you think life would be without it? I know that for me life just wouldn't be the same, and I'm not even a very good artiest. So what Ken wanted to get out is just that creative classes are just as important as any other class in school. Ken was just explaining that he believes that kids should have art in school, and just do creative things. I'm after all school is where you mind is supposed to create. Maybe schools could find some way to make art into math.

Thanksgiving!

    My thanksgiving was really great. I got to see my whole family, and also got to spend some of my dad with my dad. I had a lot of fun just hanging out with my sisters. I also loved all the great food I got to eat. I enjoyed everything about my Thanksgiving with my family. I ate so much I thought I was going to explode. Also when it came time to play our family game of pennies, I won two out of three times. Some of my family members were not to happy about it. I thought it was really great because I won money off of it. I loved just sitting around the table and laughing until my abs almost fell off. I couldn't stop laughing at my crazy sister Bailey. It seems like everything she does is funny.

Gold Rock

    So yesterday I took a rock from a mine, and I want to know was it wrong? Was it wrong to take a rock I found on the ground of the mine? I mean it does have a gold side to it, but I'm pretty sure it's not real gold. Should I have just left it there? What should I have done??

Don't eat the marshmallow!

    Today we watched a TED talk called Don't Eat The Marshmallow. It was about an experiment on leaving kids with a marshmallow, and asking them not to eat it. The experiment was to show what kids were good in school, and what kids didn't do very well. The kids that didn't eat the marshmallow were the kids that did good in school, and the kids that did eat it were the kids that didn't do very well. So if you eat the marshmallow, and don't have self control you will not be successfully in life. So you could either conttrol yourself or you could just eat the marshmallow and not really care. You had to be able to sit at a table with the marshmallow without eating it. Some of the kids they did the test on found very creative ways to eat the marshmallow. One little girl ate the inside or the marshmallow, thinking that they wouldn't notice.

Be Childish

    Adora Svitak is a 12 year old girl from Washington who had a dream, and she wasn't willing to wait till she grew up to make it become real. She wanted to show people that she had something that was worth sharing to her generation. She wanted people to see that its not just adults that can come up with children's stories, and really shouldn't children be the ones coming up with children's stories? She was ready to share her gift of writing to everyone, and her parents helped that happen. They talked to many different children book writers, and one said that they don't work with children. If you ask me every children's story writers should work with children. I believe that children do come up with some of the best ideas.

Unlikely friendships

   The video about the elephant and the dog was touching. It showed that you can be friends with anyone. Sometimes you have to choose someone that's different from all the rest. When ever I would go out to spend my summers in Michigan My favorite thing to do was go to my aunts barn. at her barn was my favorite couple. there was a little pony and a goat, and they wouldn't leave each others sides. They ran together, ate together, and slept together. at one point I saw that goat laying on the horse while they were both sleeping. They were best friends, and didn't spend time with any other horses or goats. They never left each others sides.

Steve Jobs

    I didn't really know anything about Steve jobs, but I knew a lot about the apple company. I know now that he was the CEO of Apple and Pixar animation. To me that sounds like two very good jobs. I wish I was as smart as him, and could invent something as great as he did. I think that what he has invented has changed the ways we read, write, listen to music, and watch videos. And now with the Ipad, how we learn. Its incredible that our lives can change so much just by new technology.

"Quotestion Marks!!"

   Don't you hate when people do finger quotations for everything? " because its never funny!". Sometimes they also do it more than twice, and truly that just makes you look kinda dumb. I hate when people use them for something that doesn't really need it too. like remember that "one guy?", oh hahaha good one your a smart person! That's usually what I'm thinking after that happens. So I'm pretty sure who ever made finger quotations is not my best friend. Lets all save the quotations for writing, and not use them for "really unnecessary times!"

AWESOMENESS!

    I wasn't present for the discussion, but I feel like this guy didn't just impact his own life but a lot of other peoples as well. I think he helped a lot of people get through the same problems he had, and he also found a very good positive way to make himself happier. I think that if I were to do something like this I would do something very smiler to what he did. I am all about doing things in a positive way, and I know that being awesome is something i am pretty good at. I can really relate to this gut, and I think we believe in some of the very same things.

Rediscover The Joy Of Learning!

  For me Rediscovering the joy of learning means being at my school. There's no other place I would rather be learning. I love my school, because they make it easy for me to learn and have fun at the same time. I love being able to learn outside of school, and not being in a class room all the time. When I am in other schools or programs my learning isn't as good. I don't pay attention as much, and I don't have as much fun. I really don't like having to sit inside all the time, and I feel like my school really understand that. I love rediscovering the joy of learning at my school; It is the best place to learn anything!!

Possessive nouns!!

My test on possessive nouns went not as good as I wanted it to. I feel like I rushed Through it and didn't look at every question closely. I know I understand the possessive nouns I just didn't do my best on the test. Writers should always remember that when using a nouns it needs to be a person, place, or thing. nouns fit into the blogoshere very well, because you need nouns to write anything. There so many things that are nouns that people don't even meant to use as nouns. Nouns are very important.

Mena trott

Looking back on everything Mena Trott said I really start to understand what she is talking about. I feel like everything she had to say was important. She really puts out there that blogging isn't just writing about yourself. Sometimes it can be about something that is important to you. It can be anything, anything you want other people to see or know about. She really points out that blogging can be used for many different reasons. One reason is that in the future you will be able to show your kids, or your kids kids. They will always be up for people to see and they will always in some way be able to help someone. I feel like I want to continue blogging for now on because there has to be sometime that something important happens.

Should students blog?

I believe that students should be able to blog. It is a very good way to write about things in school, or just what ever you are feeling. Its also a very good way to get your school work or beliefs out into the world. I think that blogging in school is a good way to get work done. Its a good way to show other students in different schools, or teachers some of the cool stuff they are doing. Any one can look and get good ideas from other people. It might give teachers good ideas for classes or maybe just for themselves. A lot of time teachers are trying to find cool new ideas for there classes. So I believe that blogging in school is a good idea for a few different good reasons.

Sentence Structure

     On my quiz I think I did pretty good. I had to go back and re guess a lot. But I got the right answer at least on my second try. I feel like I still did pretty good. When writing a senescence you need to remember to use the correct punctuation. You also need to remember to use the correct grammer, and use spell check or get you writing revised so you have the right spelling as well. Run on sentences don't really fit in anywhere is the blogosphere, because they aren't really supposed to be used ever. The only place they fit in is in the places that you don't want. They don't work anywhere because in a sentence you really want to use the right punctuation and not no punctuation at all. A run on sentence is a sentence that goes on for ever and never ever stopped because the person writing just want to talk forever and never seem like their taking a breath ever and they want to die from not breathing.
